It’s the next morning when you try to rush back to the festival. There has been an incident, after all, and the case was left unsolved. Someone has died. It’s best to go back and re-investigate, is what logic tells you -

The moment you reach the festival grounds, there’s a large sense of vastness. Every booth, ride, shop has been cleaned meticulously off the ground. There’s not a scrap left on the ground that suggests, even, that there ever was a festival. It’s …
… unnerving, to be frank. There’s no way the festival could have been cleaned so quickly during the night. The more you look, however, the more you can see that there is quite literally nothing left.
Perhaps it was the doves? In any case, the stage is gone as well, and with it, so is the body.
