Usagi blinked a few moments and quietly looked around before looking down to see the adorable customer— Oh! It was her roommate, Conan. (She finally found out his name, after pestering the landlord) They hadn’t had the chance to spend some time together since they were both always out, so it was quite a surprise to see him stop by. She didn’t remember telling him about where she worked, so the dazed expression on his face wasn’t surprising. Usagi gave him a grin, as she waved at her roomie.
“Hey there, Conan!! Why the long look? Haha, just kidding. I take it you’re feeling the heat too, huh? I’m so glad I’m not out there right now. Though, I was feeling a bit lonely…”
“Mint chocolate chip? Coming right up!! I’ll be nice and give you two scoops.”
Usagi grabbed the ice cream scooper and carefully scooped up a perfect round ball of the ice cream, grabbing a cone from below the counter. She gently placed the the first scoop on the cone, as the second one followed. Smiling, she bent over the counter, handing over the ice cream to the other.
“Heh. So hi there! We finally see each other after how long? Hah. Were you out exploring the city?”
Well, it was a bit surprising that the girl already knew his name. After all, they hadn’t propery met yet. That, however, didn’t mean Conan did not know who he was rooming with. This meant that he was either speaking with Usagi Tsukino or Lee Moon Young and judging by things he had heard about his roommates before, he was guessing the former.
He tiptoed a little to receive the ice cream and place the money for it on the counter. Usagi seemed to be quite skillful at scooping ice cream, actually. Which was natural, this was her job after all.
“Thank you Usagi-neechan” he cheered, taking a lick from his ice cream. It was delicous as people had said it was. This place certainly didn’t let him down.
“Hmn, today is a Saturday after all, so no school” Conan paused for a bit before continuing, “You’re my roommate, aren’t you? Is this where you usually work?”
