Suddenly putting on a serious mask, Kaito turned towards Conan. “Conan-kun… Tell me why did you lie? Why do you pretend to not understand a trick even a seven year old can figure out??” Putting both hands on Conan’s shoulders, he stared at Conan with a small frown. “Tell me, why?”
He studied Conan for a few seconds with the serious look… Then he broke out laughing. “Just kidding! How could a small kid like you possibly figure out a magician’s trick? Even I have not figured it out!” With that, he put his hand on Conan’s head and rubbed it a few times, grinning mischievously.

Oh for APTX 4869’s sake, what was this guy trying to pull? A lot of kids he knew would fall for that magic trick. Still though, Kaito’s change in behaviour was strange… Could he possibly be aware of Conan’s shrinking? But how?
“Eeeh?! You’re so mean Kaito-niichan! I’m six, you know!” He pouted a little to act more childish. Damn, Conan wasn’t even sure how much longer he could keep this up. Faking to be a child was tiresome after all.
