It was another slow day in Toshi City. Conan, who was just walking home from school right now, felt quite bored and tired. No one needed help and there hadn’t been a case for more than a week now. It was.. peaceful. In fact it felt so peaceful that it almost felt wrong.
For the longest time it seemed that Conan, who used to be “Shinichi Kudou”, seemed to attract murder cases one by one. There was no end to it and somehow he got used to it. Even when he went to the amusement park with Ran, there was a murder case, a clever thought out one as well. As if the gods above them never planned on giving him some rest. Putting that aside though…

Conan slightly started feeling bad that he wanted something to happen, slowly approaching the appartment complex he lived in. Just something, a case. Preferably not a murder, but he was used to those already. He was relieved that nothing bad was happening lately but he felt horribly uncomfortable when he was not doing any detective work. Maybe the police had been silent? Like hell they would let a kid in on a case - even if he could solve most of them easily.
The boy tiptoed slightly so small hands could reach the doorknob. Sunk in thought, he twisted it a little before entering the building, taking quite some effort to open the heavy door. It was because of this that he didn’t even notice the appearance of a young man he had never seen before.
